Hello,

We're running a 2008 R2 Exchange 2010 server in coexistance with an Exchange 2007 server (to be retired reasonably soon). We have run a full VSS backup of all volumes containing any Exchange information, in addition to system state, on the Exchange 2010 server, and the logs are not truncating. In our Application logs, we get the following (there is also an entry for the mailbox database):

Log Name:      Application
Source:        MSExchangeIS
Date:          9/12/2012 7:57:58 PM
Event ID:      9782
Task Category: Exchange VSS Writer

Computer:      <name>

Would anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
