inbound SMTP traffic load balancing

Hi Team

Our exchange 2010 environment consists of a Smart host appliance and 2 x hub servers.  Inbound emails from internet hit the smart host first.

For inbound SMTP traffic coming from the internet; can I use WNLB on our HUB servers and configure the smart host to pass the incoming emails to NLB address?

I am finding different answers on the Internet.  Some are saying that WNLB does not support incoming SMTP traffic.  Some other say it does as long as you don't implement it in between exchange servers.

What gives?
