We have built a CAS Array with two CAS servers and brought into our production environment. The servers currently are not servicing any functions yet.
We haven't configured OAB and Web Services on the CAS servers.
My questions:
1) At this point can I bring the HUB into the mix but still have our current 2003 Exchange servers function (without interruption)? We like our users to continue connecting to the current Exchange 2003 & OWA (no DNS switching yet).
2) We like to test the CAS/HUB with our hardware load balancers (called Kemp). Any tips on how we can go about testing mail flow. I have some ideas but seeking some more advices.
3) Also at what point do I install the hotfix for Exchange Active Sync on all Exchange 2003? I am assuming it can be done anytime.
4) For the configurations of OAB and Web Services on the CAS servers, can it be done post HUB install?
Personally, I have installed 2010 Exchange on a test lab, but ran the installation without any time gap in between servers.
