My DAG has two mailbox servers and hosts 4 mailbox DBs. The total amount of data is 3,3 TB. Curently eatch DB is on a different LUN. The issue is with the size. Even if up to 2 TB dbs are supported, the restore time is very long (~8h / DB). I would like to reconfigure and split them into smaller DBs (up to 300 GB / DB). It means more than 15 DB.
MY QUESTION: Do I have to go with 1 DB / LUN or it is OK to host 2 or more new DBs / LUN.
