Outlook anywhere very slow to connect

We,ve a Exchange 2010 SP1/Outlook 2010 environment. I've enabled Outlook anywhere on the server with basic authentication. I've configured an Outlook client outside our domain (on a laptop over wifi with fast ethernet, configured an additional profile) to connect to our exchange server succesfully. When I open Outlook I'm prompted for my credentials and then I've to wait a few minutes to get an error like: "server not available..." so the connection fails. However, I've the option to retry and when I do that after a few minutes I'm able to set the connection and my mailbox is available. When the connection is set everything else works fine and fast.

I've run the command outlook.exe /rpcdiag, got the same error en opted for retry. Then I can see a connection is made over https.

How can I fix this and speed up the connection made to our exchange server?

By the way, the mailbox- cas and hub transport roles are on the same server. We've a certificate forhttps://email.[domain] (external) and https://exchange01.[domain] (internal) use.

Thnx Remco
