Hi,
We have 6 domains in our organisation currently all routing through 1 send connector configured to use 1 smart host which is a mail filtering service.
We're moving to a different mail filtering service and I wanted to setup one of our domains to send and and receive email through the new service to get it all setup and working correctly before moving the other domains over to it.
The MX record for the domain I want to test with the new service has been changed. I've setup a second send connector and configured the address space for this domain only, and entered the new smart host details, however emails from people with email addresses from this domain are not routing through this second send connector.
I then thought it might be because the original send connector was configured with an astrix in the address space to cover all domians so I removed this and added the other 5 domains as address spaces. Mail would still not send through my new send connector for those with email addresses with that domain.
I should state that incoming email to this domain is coming through the new email filtering service ok, just not sending through it.
I've spend many hours reading about this and have struggled to find information relevant to my scenario. The latest gist I have is that it is not possible. Please can somebody clarify if it can easily be acheived or am I wasting my time?
Many thanks in advance!
