Bulk removal of additional mailcontact smtp-addresses

Hello everybody,

I'm facing a problem with the default policy for addresslists. After our migration from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 SP1 the default policy created additional local smtp-domain addresses for contacts; e.g. the contact Foo Bar with mail-address foo.bar@domain.com recieved additional local mailaddresses, based on the default policy - foo.bar@localdomain.org, f.bar@localdomain.org and fbar@localdomain.org.

First I wondered why this happened, but after I saw that the default policy can't be provided with any kind of filter I got to the point that this is behavior by design. Now ... I would like to remove all those @localdomain.org addresses because there are some duplicates that where created because of similar Names (Contact had the same fore- and surname like internal mailbox-based users). That this for sure will cause problems is a matter of fact.

I found several powershell scripts that start with {Get-MailContanct -OrganizationalUnit "OU..." and that shall delete all the additonal Mailadresses of contacts in this OU EXCEPT the primary mailadress that usually should be the mail address set by hand in the past.
Unfortunatelly this did not work ... the script always stops with errors and I tried for hours but never got it work. Later I found out that there might have been a change in power-shell syntax for deleting mailaddresses from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010.

Is there anybody out there  who know's what I am talking about and who can help me to do what I want to do? I don't think that it can be that difficult to do, but I am a complete Powershell-Rookie and I am stuck at the moment :-(

Regards,

Jochen
