Hi, not sure if this is a stupid question, but best to be thought of as stupid rather than making a stupid mistake...:-)
Anyway, we have a situation where we have two offices, with their own Exchange Org's. We have recently created a Site-2-Site VPN between them. In the event that either of the companies Internet connections went down we want to be able to fall back to a 'backup' Edge Server - installed in the other companies DMZ, and this Edge will receive mail and store it ready for when the HUB is back visible via the VPN again.
So, we have Company A and Company B, the second Edge server for Company A is installed in Company B, and visa versa. Basically is this going to work (subject to the right Networking config setup)? What I am concerned about is the info which is published into the AD Sites and Services. Also, is there a way of configuring the Hub subscription so that it has a priority of using the closest Edge first (for sending mail), and the one over the VPN second? I don't seem to be able to find anything on this anywhere as it looks as though Microsoft technical authors assume that all Edge Servers are in the same site?
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Phil
