Hi-
Hope I am in the right forum - if not - pplease direct me to the proper place - if possible.
We are encountering an error where the meetings we are booking are not reoccurring; these are normal, one-time meetings. appears to be occurring with a number of users.
Here is the message:
’Room’ declined your meeting because it is recurring. you must book each meeting separately with this resource.”
We have researched and it appears this error usually occurs when the free/busy info gets corrupted server-side.
So - we've cleared the free/busy info by creating a new Outlook profile for this resource and open Outlook using that profile.
In Resources Scheduling - Automatically decline recurring..." was checked. reopen Options window and re-check setting.
We used an Admin account to login to the resource.
Tested again and the issue still occurs.
We also found out this may be and issue where a resources was migrated between versions so there might be a "conflict between Direct Booking features and Automatic Booking."
So we disabled all options within the resource mailbox's "resource scheduling" options, which is reported to fix this issue.
Sent test meetings to resource and they were accepted and processed as expected.
Also sent a conflicting meeting that was rejected as expected.
Well - still appears we can double book new entries.
We were able to book a second meeting, but usually our system will prompt you automatically if a meeting is double booked instead of emailing a declined request.
Though we did receive the declined request, which is a good sign, but the calendar still double booked the meeting.
So - we reverted all changes on the Room resource.
we and are back to this state:
"when a conflicting meeting was submitted, the user would get a rejection email, instead of the automatic notification when submitting the original meeting request.
Also, despite the rejection email, the meeting would still get double booked."
If we have to create a new mailbox/resource at this point - is it possible to backup the Resource room and properly restore if needed?
What other options are available?
Thanks for any help!
