I am looking to limit the Exchange Store. Our Exchange server contains all roles and is being installed to replace a current Exchange 2003 server. Currently all mail now flows through theEx2k10 server and 5 users have been moved to the new server. The server was installed roughly 45 days ago. The server has 16GB ram installed and runs Server 2012. Store.exe is taking 8GB and other services are beginning to have issues
and I would like to limit the amount of memory it uses. Since there are currently 5 users on the system I was going to limit the store process to 6GB with a minimum of 4GB which would theoretically leave 2GB free according to current usage. The issue I have
is the settings in ADSIEdit as outlined in several articles (example:
http://eightwone.com/2011/04/06/limiting-exchange-2010-sp1-database-cache/#comment-9125) do not exist in my current config? We have Exchange 2010 SP3 installed and all of the latest patches at least to 45 days ago. If necessary I will increase
the RAM in the future but IMHO the store should not currently need 8GB for 5 users
