Decomissioning Exchange 2003 after 2010 Migration

Hi All,

I am about to start decommissioning an exchange 2003 environment after the migration to exchange 2010, I have performed all of the relevant steps such as removing public folder replicas and moving the public folder hierarchy. The exchange 2003 environment has about 10 Administrative Groups, a couple of the Exchange 2003 servers will remain in production in coexistence with the 2010 environment.

My question is, once I have uninstalled exchange from the 2003 servers that are going to be decommissioned, can i simply delete the Administrative Group if it no longer contains any Exchange 2003 servers? Will it affect the remaining Exchange 2003 servers in the other Administrative Groups?
