550 domain of forward path is not allowed

Hi

My configuration is as follows: we want all internal Outlook users configuring a POP3 account with our exchange server have their mails first pass through our Trendmicro IMSS Spam Prevention Server(smtp.mydomain.com) and then to our Hub Transport server. i.e Outlook Client ->IMSS->HT Server-> IF inetrnal mail then MBX server ELSE sent outside if sent to an external domain.

We have successfully been able to implement the same for our internal users but while any internal user tries to send a mail to an external address he receives a bounce back mail with the NDR -550 domain of forward path is not allowed .

In the same scenario if the user puts the Outgoing Server(SMTP) address as (mail.mydomain.com) his mails are successfully delivered internally as well as externally.

Environment:

Exchange 2010(CAS/HT/MBX) Single Server

Trend Micro IMSS(Windows) 7.1

Receive Connector created with AUthentication to Externally Secured- Permission to Exchange servers and I have also ran the EMS command to grant the relay permissions

Get-ReceiveConnector "CRM Application" | Add-ADPermission -User "NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON" -ExtendedRights "ms-Exch-SMTP-Accept-Any-Recipient"

Kindly help!!
