Starting about two weeks ago we have been having users briefly disconnect from Exchange 2010 servers. We are still on SP1 update 5. The reason for that is a long story and we will get on SP3 as soon as we can. However Outlook / Exchange connectivity has been stable up until recently.
The disconnects are brief and last about 15 to 30 seconds and Outlook recovers on it's own. It is happening at different times of the day. Users that experience this are on different mailbox servers. We have two CAS servers that are network load balanced.
The users are in different physical locations. The users are using a variety of Outlook versions. The issue feels like an RPC issue as if one of the CAS was having a problem usually the other one takes over.
Really nothing in the environment has changed recently that I can recall...just seems strange that this is happening almost daily the past two weeks. Ideas?
