Hi All,
I have a lab setup with a Windows 2008 AD domain, Exchange 2007 server (SP2 on Windows 2008) and Exchange 2010 RTM on Windows 2008 R2. The domain was originally a Windows 2003 domain, with Exchange 2003 and was upgraded / migrated - the Ex2003 server is long gone.
I have a problem that the public folders are not replicating between Ex2007 and Ex2010. I'm testing out migration scenarios for a client, which has Outlook 2003 clients, so I need to consider public folders for Offline address book / Free/busy etc.
The public folder hierarcy is not even replicating. On the Exchage 2007 server, "get-publicfolder \non_ipm_subtree -recurse" shows:
Name Parent Path

But on the Ex2010 server, all I get is:

If I run "update-publicfolderhierarcy -server ex2007" on the ex2010 server, the ex2010 server shows the following in the event log:

I have checked the proxyaddresses attribute on the publicfolderdatase object and the email address is definitely correct.
I have seen another reference to the same issue here: http://get-exchange.blogspot.com/2009/11/public-folder-mayhem-exchange-2010.html but there doesn't seem to be a fix or workaround anywhere.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
