Action 'Mail Enable' could not be performed on object

I inheited a public folder heirachy from a poorly completed exchange 2003 to 2010 migration.  The last item I am currently working on is I created a public folder "calendar" in outlook, and then using the EMC/tools I went to mail enable the public folder and get the following pasted entry:

Action 'Mail Enable' could not be performed on object 'XXXXX Visitor

Calendar'.

XXXXX Visitor Calendar
Failed
Error:
Object 'XXXXX.com/Microsoft Exchange System Objects/XXXXX Visitor

Calendar': the linked object of property 'Database' is 'Public Folders',

which doesn't exist in First Organization 'First Organization'. This

might be because the object is corrupt in Active Directory. Please set a

valid value for this property.

I have done numerous web searches to help remediate this error with no successs.  The error sounds to me like a 'property' of some object in active directory is incorrect and needs modified.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
