WinRM Error with move-databasepath

Dear all,

we are running Exchange 2010 SP3 on a Windows 2008R2 VM with 48 GB RAM.

We have about 3 TB Mailboxes in 9 Databases.

I am trying to move the Public folder databaase (800 GB) to a new location through EMC and with move-databasepath, without success.

After some time, the move fails with the following message:

Error

Processing Data from remote server failed with the following error message. The WinRM client cannot complete the operation within the time specified. Check if the machine name is valid and is reachable oer the network and firewall exception for Windows Remote Management service is enabled. For more information, see the about:Remote_Troubleshooting Help Topic.

5 to 10 minutes before, the following error is logged in application log:

Log Name:      Application
Source:        ESE
Date:          7/21/2013 1:09:03 AM
Event ID:      906
Task Category: Performance
Level:         Warning
Keywords:      Classic
User:          N/A
Computer:      COMPUTERNAME
Description:
Information Store (5100) A significant portion of the database buffer cache has been written out to the system paging file.  This may result in severe performance degradation.
See help link for complete details of possible causes.
Resident cache has fallen by 232372 buffers (or 20%) in the last ? seconds.
Current Total Percent Resident: 79% (928660 of 1161032 buffers)

And the Server becomes almost unresponsive.

The problem did not occur 4 weeks ago, when I moved the dtore to the temporary location.

The only difference is, that SP3 is now installed.

Any suggestions?

Best regards

Markus Burggraf
