Error Message:"Your Out of Office settings cannot be displayed, because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later"
Clients: Office 2010 SP1 x86, Win7 Pro x64, German Language UI
Details: We started seeing the error message when migrating mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010, specifically those based in our German office. The message only appears using the Outlook client. They can use the OWA OOF
setting without error.
Troubleshooting: After ruling out basic connectivity and name resolution to the OOF URL I discovered the error message is only appearing on clients that have a de-DE language value set on their mailbox (Get-Mailbox | select alias,Languages). German mailboxes which do not have a language set are able to kick off the OOF GUI without a problem. I've tried explicitly setting the Office language to German instead of using "match Microsoft windows" and clearing out the language on the mailbox - no change.
So maybe I'm off track with my suspicion but I haven't seen it happen on any mailbox where the language setting is empty. I'm just looking for any suggestions at this point.
