I wondered if someone could please clarify what the 'Outlook Web App Virtual Directory Properties' means for 'Internal URL and 'External URL'
I have read the various explanations on the internet and on techet until I am blue in the face. I am aware of the short answer:
"the URL used to access this Web site from an internal network "
and
"the URL used to access the Web site from the Internet"
I am looking for an more in depth explanation please. I notice if I remove the internal URL nothing happens for OWA users, this is because DNS provides the lookup. So what is this Internal URL box really for, doesnt seem to need to work.
