Hi, we have Exchange 2010 SP3 (version 14.3 build 123.4)
Our business policy requires we encrypt and password protect mobile devices
I have tried everything I can think of to get the ActiveSync Recovery Password to function, but I cannot.
Devices I am struggling with to name a few:
All nokia devices
Windows Phone 8
Apple iPhone and iPad
I noticed that I CAN see the recovery password for a Samsung-GT iI9500
These phones have been in the market for quite some time now, surely there should be support for this? What happens if the user forget's their device Pin? We as administrators can not assist the user in any way.
Using the console, powershell or web-access portal do not help.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Exchange_ActiveSync_clients talks of phone compatibilities, but this is useless as well - there is no mention of "Password Recovery" for the later versions of ActiveSync.
The latest matrix of supported devices would really help
