Hi - I've got a weird Exchange 2010 issue that I can't find any information about on the Internet, or elsewhere in this forum.
I recently installed Exchange 2010 - my organization needs to get off of Exchange 2003 before April, and we're going to Exchange 2010 for weird licensing reasons that are irrelevant to the problem.
When we first installed Exchange 2010, we didn't really have a good understanding of the certificate requirements. A certificate was installed on the server with the server's name, but with no SAN's for autodiscover, internal names, external names, etc. The old certificate was removed from the server, and the new certificate was installed, complete with all the necessary SANs. The Exchange console was used to create the certificate request, and install the new certificate. Further, all services were registered with the new certificate. Finally, the old certificate was manually uninstalled from the server, using the MMC to the "certificates" snap-in with the local computer and the personal store.
However....the server is STILL USING THE OLD CERTIFICATE. The old certificate is not showing in the local computer MMC certificate store, nor is it showing in Exchange, nor is it showing in IIS. How can this be?!?
