System setup:
3 node Exchange 2010 (SP1) DAG. Mailbox servers are hosted on VMWare VCentre servers. Databases are stored on SAN storage. CAS/Hub Transport servers also virtual but seperate VMs
We are constantly experiencing corrupt search catalogs on most/all of the databases - error below:
At 'Date Time ' the Microsoft Exchange Information Store Database 'DB0x' copy on this server experienced a corrupted search catalog. Consult the event log on the server for other "ExchangeStoreDb" and "MSExchange Search Indexer" events for more specific information about the failure. Reseeding the catalog is recommended via the 'Update-MailboxDatabaseCopy' task.
We have 10 databases and this is happening at least once a week for most of the databases.
We know how to fix the problem at the time but we need to know why this is happening as it obviously will cause the DBs to not mount the affected store on the other DAG member(s) if required.
How do we go about troubleshooting why this is happening ? There doesn't appear to be anything in the event logs around about the time of the above error to suggest any other problems.
