Exported a mailbox to PST yesterday using EMS. Come in this morning sand notice I have a disconnected mailbox. It's the mailbox I exported and it's reflecting the wrong mailbox database (I have two). I try to connect it using EMC, but the user
it belongs to does not show up in the list. In fact, only 7 users show up in the list and 6 of them are not even actual users, but built-in accounts.
Was able to restore it with EMS so all good there, but my question is how did it get there? It was in SoftDelete status. No one deleted it!
Googling for this is nearly pointless because all I get is stuff about exporting mailboxes or exporting disconnected mailboxes.
Why was it disconnected?
Why was it soft deleted?
Why was it showing the wrong database?
Is it expected behavior that after exporting a mailbox it is disconnected and put in softdelete status?
