I have an Exchange cluster with 2 servers and one DAG. Server 1 crashed today which left the passive copy of all databases in the "failed and suspended" state. This is an unusual circumstance because we have the cluster set to automatically fail over to the other server if one server crashes. However, I'm not sure which server was the active server - it should have been server 2 but it's server 2 that has the failed and suspended copy of the databases. This happened once before several years ago and the reseed command worked just fine.
I've tried the reseed power shell command but get the error: a source-side operation failed. An error occurred while performing the seed operation..... The system can not find the file specified.
I don't want to reboot the server(s) with a failed copy of the database
Anyone have any tips on how to resolve this?
In case you need to know, we have 9 databases, 8 of them are 100+ GB. We have circular logging enabled so if I need to do a manual copy, I'd need to know the process to move the database and the logs etc. (however, if the files can't be found???)
Any help would be appreciated and hopefully a response will be given today (12/29/2013). I'm fighting a nasty cold and don't feel very well and am hoping I won't have to go into work tomorrow.
Thanks
