how to update public folder content recursively

Hi. 

I had added the replicas of our new 2010 EX server from our 2007 and during the initial replication the mail queues got swamped so i had to kill them and recreate them. I have noticed now that some folders are empty due to this. I can update them by going into ESM and hit the update-public folder content button which works for the folder that your own, though  have thousands of email and was looking for a cmdlet that would do this recursively? Is there such a way to do this?
