Hello,
Enivronment: Exchange 2010 Standard SP1 RU7 on Windows Server 2008 R2
We have a very annoying issue that I feel is somewhat self inflicted. We did a domain migration to a new domain. However, we were forced to keep our Exchange server on our old domain (lets call it Domain A) and move everything else to our new domain (Domain B). So right now we have a trust relationship between the two domains. So, all the user machines are migrated to Domain B, however our mail servers and our original domain controllers are still on Domain A. Due to this we now have to maintain two sets of users, one on Domain A (all the mail enabled users) and one on Domain B (the mailboxes are linked to these accounts).
Everything still works pretty well, except for sharing Calendars. If a user wants to share a calendar with another user, they will get a "Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Outlook cannot access the specified folder location." error message when trying to access it. If I give the use any kind of access to another user's calendar, they won't be able to access it. They will get the same error message, even if they have "Owner" permissions to the calendar folder. The only way I can get around it is by giving the user Full Access to the mailbox, but the problem with that is then they could get access to unintended emails etc.
I was able to make a brand new account and was able to access calendar folders without issue. This is why I feel that there is an issue with the migrated accounts accessing folders, I don't know if it's getting confused or what. I have successfully used ExFolders to take a look at the calendar permissions but again to no avail.
I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for me on this before I call MS on it. Thanks!!
