What is the best way to migrate one of our exchange DAG servers (passive) with the program files and all stores installed on the E drive (iSCSI Lun) to a new SAN? My plan was to mount the new drive with the iSCSI initiator (say create an F drive), take passive exchange box offline, copy the data from E to F. Take E offline and rename F to E, then reboot. I'm assuming exchange will still be OK since everything is the same drive letter? Is there a better way? I'd prefer not to uninstall exchange and re install and go through that whole song and dance but if that is less risky then so be it. Like I said it's the passive box so I can handle taking it down for a bit.
