We are deploying a new terminal server on Windows 2008 R2 and running Office 2010 with SP1
For some reason, the cache mode is not turned off and I have gone through the settings a few times, uninstalled and reinstalled with the MSP that I’ve created and still it is on.
Here is what I’ve done;
In the MSP file, I have the following set;
Features/Modify User Settings/MS Outlook 2010/ Account Settings/Exchange/Cached Exchange Mode/ Use Cached Exchange Mode… -> set to Disabled
Outlook/Outlook profile/New profile -> Outlook2012-1202
Outlook/Add accounts/Customize.. -> NewOutlook
under more settings Cached Mode I have selected Configure Cached Exchange Mode and have no check beside Use Cached Exchange Mode
Those settings, for some reason are not working when a new user logs into the terminal server so then I found some more information on creating a registry key;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Policies/Microsoft/Office/14.0/Outlook/OST
In that key I created a DWORD named NoOST and set the value to 2.
I’ve put that into the TS GPO and still I have cached mode turned on.
I’m missing something here
