Creating Recovery Database from EDB file on a remote location or shared network folder

Hi,

I need to create a Recovery database from an Edb file located on a Shared folder on another machine in the same network.

I tried to give EDBFilePath path like \\192.168.1.89\F\Exchange\EDB1.edb in the New-MailboxDatabase cmdlet and executed

the cmdlet from Exchange Managemnt 2010 shell .

However, it failed saying an error in EDBFilepath.  it should be absolute, local or long filepath name.

1. Does that mean that it is not possible to create an Exchange Recovery DB from an edb on a shared network folder on another sever.

 2. Can we create recovery database on a mailbox Exchange server  by executing a Remote Powershell cmdlet on a  Client access server on another machine, from an EDB file located on the mailbox server. if yes , how ?
