I have an Exchange 2010 service pack 2 server running as a UM server. All of the other 2010 Exchange servers in our org have Update Rollup 4 installed. When we try to install that update on this server, we get the following error.
The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch.
After doing some research I have found a few things to try. I have re-registered the Windows installer, verified that the registry settings for it are correct, verified that there are no interim Exchanges patches installed, and re-downloaded the patch file. None of this has worked. Anyone have any other ideas on what to try.
