I brought up a second AD site with an Exchange server recently. I created a DAG and added copies of my mail databases to the new site(Site B). Now I have a queue to Site B that is sitting at Retry. The second site was for DR only. I'm not sure how it even knows which users are there, or why any mail would try to get there since it only contains inactive copies of databases.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Additional Information. The Receive connector on the remote site had become disabled. Re-enabling it delivered all of the mail in that queue.
What I don't understand is why this would be an issue since it has no live databases on it, only copies. It was never intended to be a critical part of our Exchange infrastructure. Why would Exchange stop if it couldn't deliver to this server?
