I am running Exchange 2010 - version: 14.01.0438.000 (includes Update rollup 8 for SP1) on Windows server 2008R2 Enterprise, with SP1. Updates are current. DAG configuration with databases copies on 2 servers – same physical location.
First – let me say I started having to deal with issues on the exchange servers due to some NTFS issues on the log drive. This is not the first time I’ve had these issues, but I believe I’ve rectified that problem. I don’t believe that issue is related but wanted to add, just in case.
Here's what I've done to troubleshoot:
Get-TransportAgent | Disable-TransportAgent
Restarted service - Still failed, same error
Thinking maybe the problem was with either edgetransport.exe or ESE.dll, I replaced both from a server that is not having this issue. Version numbers were the same. Did not fix the issue.
Deleted all files from both IPFilter and TransportQueue, thinking maybe a database issue. No luck.
Rebooted – yes, many times…
Any suggestions?
