We have Exchange 2003 and 2010 in co-existense running. All our users and resource mailboxes are still on our 2003 servers but all users have Outlook 2010 already. Since a complaint of our users is that looking up free/busy information from our meeting rooms is very slow, I would prior to phasing out 2003, improve this speed. How can I manage that this is faster? I think the bottelneck is the public folders?
How can I get rid off free/busy information is being used by using public folders and uses Exchange 2010 availability service is being used? And hopefully is faster?
Do I need to move the mailboxes of our meeting rooms to 2010 (and convert them to resources). Or do I need to move the mailbox of the user as well to 2010 already? Or can I leave it like this and configure it to use the 2010 availability service anyway instead of free/busy PF's?
Thanks !
