I have the next DAG configuration
Site A and Site B are in differente subnet ( 10.57.57.x and 10.57.58.x )
Site A
MAPI NIC Work fine
Replication NIC A work fine
DAG IP is setup and the IP is avaliable in cluster resource
Site B
MAPI NIC Work fine
Replication NIC work fine
Firewalls and Switchs are setups with free traffic for the two networks.
Site A and Site B are in remote sites.
I have two problems when I add the Second IP in DAG:
1) In Windows Failover Cluster the second IP of DAG, not view in the cluster resources.
The "OR" dependency for the Network is not create because not is available the second IP.
The failover not work with Site A is down.
2) The transport of logs from active to passive copy ( Site A --> Site B ) work but exist a high delay
logs files in server with passive copy. The failover not work because
log copy queue higher than the threshold of '40'.

Suggest Reqd for Archive Mailbox Database and the Default Mailbox Database
Hello Team
In my Lab Exchange 2010 DAG , having normal mailbox database (Default One) and Archive mailbox databases in the same drive
The Default database size is currently 10GB and
What happens
I moved all the emails from the users mailboxes located in default database to archive mailboxes and now Archive Mailboxdatabase size keeps increasing whenever I moved the emails from default mailbox database to Archive Database., that is natural I understand
But at the same time, I would like to regain the size of the Default database size either by running offline defragment or by creationg the new database and move the mailboxes form the current default database to the new database.
I understand, offline defrag requires the DB offline and may take some time , but which is the best way since both the DB’s are located in the same drive
Best practice is, creating the new database and move the mailboxes form the current default database to the new database. – am I right
How do I defrag in DAG – in case of worst scenario

I am trying to install the anti-spam module. I don't have the script AntiSpamAgent.ps1 I see everywhere. I do have the AntiSpamCommon.ps1 script.
Can I use this script to get it installed...?

Hi,
i have just installed a cas/ht roles of E2010, in a E2007 environment. I have a requirement where i have to configure the IIS -> default web site with a specific IP address ( the IP that is registered with the DNS). When i do that, the EMC / EMS fails with the following error.
"The following error occured while attempting to connect to the specific exchange server . The attempt to connect to http /powershell using kerberos authentication failed: connecting to remote server failed with the following message: The WInRM client sent a request to an http server and got a response saying the requested http url was not availabe. This is usually returned by the http server that does not support the WS-Management protocol."
When i set it back to all assigned, it works fine. I want to have additional web site for my another domain users. how do i achieve this?

Lost Exchange 2003 server , building new Exchagange 2010 server in place of it.
Hi,
One of the client lost Exchange 2003 server and they dont have backups to recover. They wanted new exchagne 2010 server to be build on the same forest from the stratch.
Will i be able to perform schema and domain prep with out any problem and will i be able to provising mailbox in Exchange 2010 for the same users ?
i know its crazy, any inputs would be great

CAS array with two CAS (no load balancer) or migration from old CAS A to new CAS B
Someone asked me a question about the use of a CAS array when you do not have a load balancer but do have two CAS nodes.
In fact, they are actually in a migration scenario where there is currently one old CAS, and will be two (old and new), and then at the very end, one (new).
I asked them a question: can you move mailboxes from one to the other quickly?
If so, they could just adjust the DNS record so "CASARRAY1" now points at the new CAS.
Of course, adjusting the TTL would be a good idea so clients do not retain the old outdated record in their cache too long.
But what if the two CAS coexist for a couple weeks?
This is where I am not so sure.
We could either create another DNS record to link CASARRAY1 -> IP of new CAS (this would result in round-robin).
or... simply leave it pointed at the old CAS.
Old CAS should connect clients migrated to new CAS (which is also new MB server) to their mailbox.
Then adjust DNS record as mentioned above when it's time to retire old CAS?
Which is the better option?

Event ID 1114: Table was marked as in use while releasing a database session...
I'm running Exchange 2010 SP2 RU1 in a two node DAG.
All the databases are mounted and healthy. Running ESEUTIL /G returned no errors (just some warnings about "orphaned scrubbed LV(401) detected" and said an offline defrag would fix it). Running ESEUTIL /K on the databases comes back clean as well.
For about two weeks now I've been getting clusters of 1114 warnings in the Application log of the server which has the active database. Unfortunately, I've been almost completely unable to find any information on this warning; the one thing I was able to find pointed to a harmless issue with Advanced Search in Outlook 2007/2010, but that was fixed in SP1 RU4.
Any ideas? At this point I think I'm ready to just create a new database and move my mailboxes over.

SMTP namespace sharing not working in Exchange 2010 resource forest configuration
Hi
We have an Exchange 2010 organization which we need to migrate into a new Exchange 2010 organization set up in a resource forest. For clarify, let's call the first AD forest contoso.local - this is where the current Exchange 2010 is set up and where user accounts are. Let's call the new AD forest resource.local - this is where the new Exchange is set up and whee linked mailboxes will be.
For coexistence and ability to route emails between both Exhcange organizations, I have configured the primary email domain, say emaildomain.co.uk, to be of type 'internal relay domain' instead of authoritative. Send connectors are set up to route emails between both Exchange organizations. This works fine for emails between regular user mailboxes - user mailbox A in contoso.local is able to send to user mailbox B in resource.local. However, as this is a resource forest configuration, we'll only have linked mailboxes in the resource forest and not normal user mailboxes.
The namespace sharing is not working for emails originating from users in contoso.local and going to linked mailboxes in resource.local. The Exchange 2010 keeps these messages in the 'Unreachable Domain' queue and shows last error as "The mailbox recipient does not have a mailbox database". It is clear that the Exchange in the user forest believes these recipients are local and is not routing them to the other Exchange organization. This is possibly because of the linked master account being in the user/account forest but those objects do not have any email addresses assigned.
How can this behaviour be changed? What is the correct way of setting up SMTP namespace sharing in resource forest migration scenarios?

Export shared calendars free/busy information
Hi,
I have several meeting rooms that use Shared Calendars. One of our programmers has asked if we can export the free/busy information for these calendars to text. The end result is for a webpage to show meetings rooms and whether they are currenlty occupied.
Is there a way of doing this with powershell perhaps? Any suggestions apreciated.

WinRM cannot determine the content type of the HTTP response from the destination computer!!!
I need help regarding an error i have on exchange server 2010.
I installed a Windows Server 2008R2 server, created the domain etc. The server has all the updates etc installed. Then installed SQL Server 2008R2. Then installed Exchange Server 2010 SP1. I had to download and install various patches
etc as pointed out by Microsoft to be able to install Exchange. At this point everything was working fine and i could start the Exchange Management Console and everything was fine.
I then installed Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4. I went ahead and specified the default web site for it. It installed fine and i can actually see and connect to the dynamics CRM website.
Since then i could not connect to Exchange using the Exchange Management Console. It kept giving an error that unable to initialize consoleinitialize.ps1.
After a LOT of troubleshooting i found that the application pools for some reason were pointing to wrong application pools. So i set the application pools to what i think should be for example for ECP i set ECPappool etc. Also Dynamics
CRM had changed the name of the Default Web Site to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, so i renamed the website back to Default Web Site.
What i do not know is what specs the application pools should all be set to? i just chose the defaults like integrated, local system, .net v2 etc. After that when starting Exchange Management Console, i do not get the consoleinitialize.ps1 error
anymore but get another error as follows:
"The attempt to connect to http://g1-server.g1.local/Powershell using Kerberos authentication failed.
Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message:
The WinRM client cannot process the request. It cannot determine the content type of the HTTP response from the destination computer. The content type is absent or invalid. For more troubleshooting see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting
Help topic."
When i try to type "http://g1-server/ecp" it waits for a while then asks for authentication and after typing the administrator username and password takes a long time and then just times out.
When i try to type "http://g1-server/owa" it gives a 500.22 Internal Server Error - An ASP.net setting has been detected that does not apply in Integrated managed pipeline mode.
Someone said on Technet forum post that removing and re-adding WinRM IIS extension solves the issue and i have done that as well but its done nothing and the problem remains.
I have tried everything and looked everywhere, even posted a previous post on Microsoft Technet forum but am not getting a response and unable to resolve this problem.
Can anyone please help me?

Exchange Server 2010 SP2 Shutdown and Start Order
Hello all,
I want to move all the servers from One old data center to another New data center, so can you pls tell me inwhich order will I shutdown and then Start the servers I have a below setup and here we have a big dependency SAN which cannot be move till 48 hours so i am looking for a plan to move to Start Exchange with in max 5 hours?
DAG1 - Contains Two Mailbox Servers
2 X Mailbox Server (Physical box) Connected to their respective local Storage MD3000
a. MBX01 –Disk1 storage array connected to Mailbox server 1
b. MBX02 –Disk2 storage array connected to Mailbox server 2
2 X Cas Servers (Virtual box) Connected to SAN
2 X Hub Server (Virtual box) Connected to SAN
2 X Edge Server (Virtual box) Connected to SAN
1 File Server (Witness Server)
Here CAS/HUB/Edge cannot be moved as connected to SAN so if someone could tell me the best way to move these servers how and in which order. Thanks

Exchange Server 2010 Witness server problem
Hi,
One of our client has Exchange server 2010 with Hyper-v and they are running two site DC and DR. Witness server are located in DC site with other physical server, this server is also running file server service. When they down DC's Exchange server then Exchange server are running fine from DR site. But when they down witness server after 1 to 2 hour's later then DR Exchange Database is dismounted state and Exchange server is not working. Their High availability of exchange server with DAG for mailbox. Why this problem occur.

Users complain they dont get full results when they search in Outlook 2010.
On other posts i saw to rerun the Setup /preparead again but this did not solve the problem

I hope someone can help with this issue.

ActiveSync stuck on messages loading on Mobile Phone
Hi,
I'm using a galaxy note 2 and I am trying to setup my Exchange mailbox onto my phone using Exchange active sync. Version of the OS is Android 4.1.2 and my company is running Exchange 2010 SP2 RU4
This seems to be an issue with only my account because it is not configured on other android devices as well but other activesync test accounts on my phone is working properly and also I can use check my corporate emails using POP3 but not via activesync. It has the administrative rights on exchange server as I am the administrator.
Furthermore. I have tried many times to configure it and troubleshoot such as wipe cache on my device, restart device,
Please help me to resolve this issue as its now become very frustrating for me

From 2003 to 2010, iPhone ActiveSync co-existence
I am planning for a 2003 to 2010 migration that we hope to happen very soon. The only outstanding question is: when we promote the 2010 CAS, will this break iPhone ActiveSync users that still have mailboxes on Exchange 2003?

It appears Window Mobile phones will support CAS proxy or redirecting to the Exchange 2003 front end box. However, the iPhone may not fully support all of the ActiveSync protocols. I haven’t been able to find if the latest iPhone OS fixes this or not. I built a test lab with Exchange 2003 and 2010, but torn it down already. I may have to build another one to test this issue. : (

Errors and Poison messages after Rollup 1 on Exchange 2010 SP3

I have installed Rollup 1 Update on my MS Exchange 2010 SP2 server: now I have several error messages in Event Log and all the sent mails in "Poison Queue".
No problem with received mails: OWA works perfectly.
Several errors:

Configure Outlook Express to access Exchange 2010

I work in a company where we use a Exchange Server 2010 and we access our e-mail account by Outlook Web App.
I'd like to know how can I access my account using my Outlook Express. We use WinXP SP3 and I searched for some procedures surfing the web, and got nothing that really works.
